When Life Plays Rough

Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.

Hebrews 10:22.

Davu's Hope*

Like most little boys, Davu and Yared liked to play rough. Climbing trees, playing tag, playfully pushing each other around. It was a day like any other when while rough housing, Davu pushed Yared knocking him to the ground where Yared hit his head and fell unconscious. By the time help arrived, Yared had died. They were both 5 years old.

Davu was taken into custody by the police for questioning, the 5 year old boy now marked as a murderer. At Yared's funeral, the whole town pointed their fingers at Davu, calling him the boy who killed his friend. But praise be to God that a team from RiverCross has been working to relocate Davu's family to a place where he can grieve his friend, wrestle through his guilt, and heal from his trauma. Because of Jesus, there is hope and forgiveness for Davu.
