Director of Operations

Role Summary

The Director of Operations is an experienced leader who brings structure, clarity, and consistency to RiverCross Global. This person leads the internal operations, harmonizing all major functions (marketing, development, program, finance, tech, and administration), and ensures successful execution of the strategic plan. They serve as the right hand to the Executive Director, embodying the RC Global values and helping to create healthy systems and team culture.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead, Manage, and Hold People Accountable (LMA)

  • Lead weekly staff meetings and conduct 1:1s

  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, and staff transitions

  • Ensure clear and consistent internal communication

2. Execute the Strategic Plan

  • Facilitate strategic planning in collaboration with the Executive Director

  • Set annual goals and quarterly rocks

  • Track issues and ensure timely resolution using IDA (Identify, Discuss, Act)

  • Monitor and evaluate successful execution

3. Integrate Core Functions

  • Provide leadership oversight across marketing, development, programming, finance, and tech

  • Support leaders in these areas, ensuring alignment and cross-functional collaboration

  • Oversee tech systems and tools for optimal team function

  • Manage contracts and vendor relationships

4. Manage Cross-Functional Projects

  • Defines project scope, goals and deliverables 

  • Defines and manages project tasks, required resources, team, budget, timeline 

  • Supports and directs team in project planning and implementation or execution

  • Leads quality assurance providing ongoing and final evaluation

Salary Range

Salary range is in line with a senior level position with a growing nonprofit and commensurate with education and experience.
